Shakespeare’s The Tempest with Tamara Tune- February 1 through February 24, 2019-Pittsburgh Public Theater

Pittsburgh Public Theater's production of  Shakespeare's The Tempest is performed with an all-female cast. This unique version explores a  modern Prospero's battle with breast cancer. When she dreams, the story takes flight to Shakespeare's  magical island where Prospero lives with  her daughter, the sprite Ariel, nymphs, an enslaved creature and more.  I am excited to experience this plays inventive direction by Marya Sea Kaminski, Pittsburgh Public Theater's new Artistic Director.

Join me for this creative adaption of the The Tempest from February 1 through February 24, 2019 at the O’Reilly Theater. For tickets go to ppt.org.

The Great Gatsby-Pittsburgh Ballet -February 8-17, 2019 -Benedum

The Great Gatsby is one of my all time favorite love stories by F. Scott Fitzgerald that takes place during the roaring 1920’s.  It’s a tale about a tragic love affair between married Daisy and the  wealthy and  mysterious Gatsby. The Pittsburgh Ballet's new production, performed with the  live PBT Orchestra and an original score, explores this cinematic drama through dance.
Join me on February 8-17, 2019 at the Benedum and experience the heartbreak, glitz and glamour of this love story. For tickets go to ppt.org.

Enjoy a Concert at Pittsburgh's Hard Rock Cafe -The Prince Project

In the 80’s, my girlfriends and I had a crush on Prince after the movie “Purple Rain."  Prince was  a virtuoso of pop rock music and he ignited the music world in the 80’s.  I never had the chance to see Prince.  On February 2, 2019, I experienced my first Prince concert  at the Hard Rock Cafe through the tribute band, The Prince Project. The band tackled the iconic look and  unique sound of Prince in the intimate venue of the Hard Rock Cafe.

Join me and party like its "1999" at a  concert at the Hard Rock Cafe. For more upcoming concerts at the Hard Rock Cafe go to hardrock.com.
