I thought a facial would bring a feeling of a fresh start as I say goodbye to February
and start looking forward toward
the new season of spring. One of my blog inspiration books, Everything
I Need To Know About Love I Learned From A Little Golden Book talks about
fresh starts stating, “The day finally comes when you look in the mirror and see
that you’re ready to start anew.” I've been on a path of many new beginnings following my life changes and so a facial was my new experience.
Reflection
A facial is a way to cleans, revive, and massage your face. It is pampering
at its best. It’s an hour long
relaxation session with soft music playing, warm steam in your face, masks that smell like apricots, hot towels, and arm and hand massages. Supposedly a facial rejuvenates your skin keeping it looking younger and if you get them routinely, “ they say”
that it minimizes wrinkles but who
cares because it feels so good! At the end of my facial I felt like Gumby, (you know , the green toy
that kids played with in the 80’s).
I say try a facial and go as often as you can! They can be pricey but it is well worth it. However,
if you’re like me and don't have disposable income, my tip for you is to try a facial at a beauty school. I got mine at North Hill Beauty Academy and my facial was fantastic and a third of the cost. I think a fresh start with a facial is going to a repetitive empty- nest experience!

Spiritual
Reflection
The unfailing love of the Lord never
ends! By his mercies we have been kept from complete destruction. Great is his
faithfulness; his mercies begin a fresh each day. (Lamentations 3:22,23)
