In this journey of new things I can’t really say that going to the the Pittsburgh Ballet's Nutcracker is a new experience. I have gone too many times to count and as expressed in Day 83 (Cambodian Ballet), I am always in search of someone to accompany me to one of my favorite things -the ballet. It is even better when you can fuel a friend’s novel experience with the show and they love it! This
blog is about- sharing a Christmas passion with someone.

Reflection
I have always loved the ballet and there is song in the Broadway
show, A Chorus Line, “The Ballet” that sums it up, “everything is always beautiful at the
ballet.” It is so so true
and the Nutcracker has it all: Tchaikovsky's music,Victorian style, snowflakes, fairies, solders, dancing toys, and a
prince who takes the girl to the Land of Sweets. Now if that's not dreamy, what
is! Maybe that is why I collect nutcrackers and started the tradition of giving my son a
nutcracker every year.( Side bar: My son used to ask and I have to agree, there is no way to really crack a nut with on of these things).
It’s great to be a part of someone's enjoyment in a new experience, especially if they are enjoying one of your passions. I also recently read the Little Golden Book's Nutcracker to a little boy who sat through
the book with interest! So I say, find a Christmas passion and share it with someone!
Spiritual Reflection
You should be known for the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious to God. (1 Peter 3:4)
