What is this Blog
about-
If you find yourself contemplating an empty nest and at the same time an empty relationship resulting
from an unexpected circumstance, such as a
crack in your egg by a divorce, evaporated
relationship, or if your just plain single by
choice because no perfect man or women out there can hold a candle to the hypothetical
person that we read about in books, than this blog is for you. You now really have an empty nest! So what are you to do to survive this syndrome of
potential despair? I hope this blog which
offers a journey to survival by a challenge of trying something new everyday,
either vicariously or by doing, will result in a potential survival tool kit.
The Blog Idea Source(s)
During my nosebleed long seven (7) hour drive back from my child’s college orientation, the light bulb illuminated –why not challenge myself to trying something new everyday this summer. By the end of this path, I hopefully will have replaced the past familiar doing, giving, and/or incorporating the interest of my child or long gone love interest, with new self interest(s). I will realize what I really like to do or not to do.
My idea originated from two sources: Maslow path to “self actualization, ” which is reaching ones complete potential , and A New York Times bestseller authored by a good friend, “Everything I need to know I learned from a Little Golden Book.”

The above book starts out asking “Is your life starting to feel like a
circus? Don’t Panic…Today is a new day.” Today is the day to start the path as Maslow
would label as self actualization or being
capable of everything you can be.
Realizing that I can not be the only person in the universe that has gone through this, I thought a blog which might give me a little help from my friends also might be the answer to my prayer(s). Don't get me wrong,I will also be praying every step of the way and adding a little guidance from the good book too.
Day 1 July 2,
2014
The New Challenge-Starting a blog.
I am not a computer savvy person, so this is an up hill climb. Starting a blog is a challenge for me who just got a smart phone and who just recently learned how to answer a call.
Well to start a blog you have to find a topic which for me was
easy because it was staring me in the face- evaporated relationship and no child. Then finding how
to do it. I found a good "How To" site, www.wikihow.com/start-a-blog.
Reflection
To create and to start to, “follow the yellow brick road” gives an illusion of some control especially when it
feels like a “circus out there”. Here is
the funny part, I am not sure that I will be able to find this blog after I publish
it but we will see. To write and/or reflect would seem like a good muscle to develop no matter where you are
in life.
Spiritual reflection
Spiritual reflection
For I can do everything with the help of Christ who gives me
the strength I need. But even so, you have done well to share with me in my present
difficulty- Phillippians 4 verse 13 and 14.
