Day 57 Ovarian Cancer/Support a Cause 2

This weekend was a beautiful, crisp, sunny day, a day to feel hopeful and as Little Golden Books exclaims, to “think big” for a cure for ovarian cancer. There seems to always be a walk for a cause during this time of the year but today this was an extra special walk because I was able to get together with some awesome ladies  to support a special women in our life who is fighting this disease.

Reflection
Sometimes when a family member or friend is  battling something (anything) those that love them often feel helpless.  No one likes to “just do nothing,” and a walk for a cause is a healing tool for both the fighter as well as the friend.  I felt encouraged on this picture perfect day as we walked for all those fighting ovarian  cancer and as we showed our support and  love for them all.

I will continue to walk for things and I  think that taking part  in a walk  for a cause is something to keep  in my survival tool box.  If you missed this walk, you have a chance, as  blogged  in Day 23 ,to walk for Alzheimer’s  on Oct 11th.

Spiritual Reflection
As Jesus and the disciples were going to the official’s home, a women who had had a hemorrhage for twelve years came up behind him. She touched the fringe of his robe, for she thought, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.”
Jesus turned around and said to her, ”Daughter, be encouraged! Your faith has made you well.” And the women was healed at that moment. (Matthew 9:19-22)

Sometimes we have physical healing sometime it's spiritual.
