Disney’s THE LION KING -Benedum Theater -Sep 4 to Sep 29, 2019

THE LION KING ,based on Disney’s animated movie, is not just for children. The show won 6 Tony Awards and  fuses pop music written by Elton John and Tim Rice with African rhythms. We travel to Africa with the story of the lion cub, Simba's  journey to become the ruler of Pride Rock like his father, Mufasa. Simba fulfills his legacy in spite of  the betrayal, battle and tragedy fueled by Scar,  Mufasa’s jealous brother.  The African plains come to life with the spectacular blending of puppetry and actors.

Join me for THE LION KING that brings African rhythms, pop music like the classic song, “Can You Feel The Love Tonight,” and an abundance of  wildlife inventively to the stage. For tickets go to TrustArts.org
